Director of Public Facilities for the Town of Shrewsbury, Angela Snell, was our speaker on March 12th. With the recent re-organization at Town Hall, Angela has expanded her role from Parks and Recreation/Cemetery to also oversee Public Buildings. Angela and her staff are responsible for maintaining all 19 town buildings, 19 public parks, the Donahue Rowing Center, 6 athletic fields and the Mountain View Cemetery. Angela spoke about the work she and her staff conduct to maintain public buildings and recreation space as well as planning for the Memorial Day Parade and working with the Girl Scouts to place flags on veteran graves at Mt. View Cemetery.
Angela also does commendable work with Special Olympics and the programs that are offered throughout the year. The men's basketball team successfully represented the USA in Abu Dhabi earning a silver medal!
